New Restaurant: Once Pueblos
This is exciting news. I've been hearing about the new winery Sierra Vita and its restaurant Once Pueblos for well over a year. It looks like the wait for them to open to the public is almost over.
I took a peek at the property several months ago and it is gorgeous. The restaurant has one of the best views of any restaurant in the Valle.
I am looking forward to tasting Chef Sandra Daniela Vázquez Fernández's food on our next visit.

Mixtura to Re-open on May 4
Lots of the seasonal campestres (new and old) have or will open soon, but I'll highlight Mixtura's opening for a couple reasons. One, it is an excellent place to visit (great food in a lovely setting). And two, I like to enter the Valle via the free road and Mixtura's location makes it the perfect first stop.

Lodging Report: She Is Not Lost - Campera Hotel
Campera's bubbles are located on the north end of the same road where Laja and Finca Altozano are located. I have not stayed there, but I will say they look very cool when they are lit up at night.

New Restaurant at Viñedos de la Reina
One of the first stops on our Baja adventure was at what is currently my favorite new winery in the Valle, Viñesdos de la Reina. The owner told us that they are working on opening a restaurant on the property. They have hired a chef and hope to be open in late May or early June.

I'm Back
The reason the blog has been dormant the last few weeks is that I've been exploring the rest of Baja with a couple of friends. We made it to Cabo San Lucas and back with many incredible stops in between. We we're blown away with all that Baja offers (everything from swimming with whale sharks to enjoying the beautiful vistas of the Vizcaino Desrt).
Lots of stuff happening in the Valle. I'll try to catch up in the coming days.
