Adobe Guadalupe Food Truck Open 12/31 and 1/1

Leda passed along the following info via Facebook this morning.

¡Salud y felices fiestas!

Telefonica Gastro Park Coming to the Valle?

I was doing a little research in advance of a quick trip to Tijuana and noticed this picture on Telefonica Gastro Park's Facebook page.  I have no other information other than it's coming soon, but I'll be sure to post further details as soon as they become available.

Lodging Report: Airbnb - Cozy Cabin

We were empty nesters this past Thanksgiving, so we took the opportunity to head to the Valle and have Thanksgiving dinner at Drew Deckman's chef's table.  (BTW, having a Michelin starred chef prepare the turkey feast is highly recommended.)

In need of a place stay we rented the "Cozy Cabin" through Airbnb.  It's nicely appointed, reasonably priced ($80), and is in very convenient location (San Antonio de las Minas).

Travel Guide: Don't Quit Your Daydream - Valle de Guadalupe

I received an email today from "dreamingbosslady" pointing me to a guide to Valle de Guadalupe she had put together.  Its extensive and the printable map and listings of wineries, eateries, and lodging looks to be a useful planning tool.

El Pinar Cocina de Ismene - Closed for the Season

It was only a couple years ago that the Valle's campestres (open air seasonal restaurants) were only open a month or two.  It's a sign of the Valle's vitality that the campestre season now runs from March through December.  And, in the case Finca Altozano, Malva, and Deckmans the season is year round.

Winery Report: Decantos Vinícola

We made a quick trip to the Valle last Thursday and visited the new Decantos Vinícola for the first time.

It is a state of art facility with a million dollar view.

Next time we'll check out their food.

We will be back.
